So I'm taking a pole dancing class and we have our graduation recital coming up in a couple weeks. I'm doing my routine to Marilyn Manson's "Tainted Love," and I decided I needed a kickass outfit to go with it. Alas, I am flat broke and can't afford to go out and buy an outfit.

Then I remembered this absolutely hideous pair of pvc assless chaps I bought once upon a time:

Aren't they fugly??? I don't know what possessed me to buy them. They even had a built-in thong. I never wore them, and they sat unloved and unworn in the back of my closet for two years.

So I said to myself, "Self, you're somewhat crafty. And these are somewhat Marilyn Manson-esque. Turn them into something awesome. As Tim Gunn would say, 'Make it work!'"

And I did:

(Sorry about the lighting on this one^.)

Ta da! And I'm gonna hang thin chains on it to make it more "Tainted Love-ish."

Whatcha think? I'm really new at sewing, so I'd love some tips and feedback.

That is awesome! Are you going to make a pair of matching bottoms out of the rest of the fabric?

Yep! I figure I have enough to make a sexy mini-skirt. If not, then maybe I can rig up some booty shorts? I'll make 'em tomorrow.

Aw I wasn't expecting so many nice comments! =D

The neck has a small snap in the back. Nothin' fancy, and it doesn't look too great, but it'll do for my purposes.

Okay so once again I am completely redoing my pictures. Got tired of photobucket, the only reason I used it was for here so I decided I will just use Craftster's photo uploader. So while I am switching over my photo links will be broken. Message me if there is a post you would like the pics for.

I love it! I wouldn't have the guts to wear it- my boobs are too big I'd be afraid of them falling out.
