So, I couldn't sleep last night..so of course I started knitting Grin And this is what happened..Lily got a new hat that she can't wiggle out of! Woot!

Action Shot!

She's done modeling Tongue

Hat front. I put a snap on and put a button on just for looks.

The back seam makes me want to high five myself!

For a middle of the night project and no planning I love how it came out. I'm gonna do some tweaking and make another.
So.whatcha think?

Wow, awesome! So cute. None of my little ones want to wear hats. And its such a chore to keep one on my 2 month. I can't believe you did this on a whim. The design is splendid. I'd love a pattern.

aww thanks doll! there really isn't much patter to it Tongue  i just eyeballed the amount of stitches, worked in rib for a bit, then on to stockinette, no shaping at all. when i got to the size i wanted i bound off and sewed up the back seam. picked up 5 sts at the bottom, knit  a few rows to make a little tag, added a snap and a cute button..it was one of those super mindless projects Wink
so glad you like it Grin

I'm looking for Simplicity 6340 (the 1970's sailor dress). PM me if you've got a copy to swop or sell! Cheesy

I love it! It's like a little elf hat! And Lily is just utterly adorable.

OH I LOVE it! What a precious baby! I'm a pattern junkie, but I've seen a pattern similar on Ravelry.

I love the simplicity of this pattern - I recently had a go at the aviatrix baby hat and it's a great pattern, but I like the fact you could use a chunkier yarn for this one. (Or at least you could if you are better at seams than I am...)
