These are all the gifts I made as Christmas presents.  I also did some sewn gifts, but that will be another topic  Wink  Most were free patterns from Ravelry, and 1 or 2 were purchased.  If you have any questions about where to get any of the patterns feel free to ask, I still have them all saved and can point you in the right direction  Grin

and these are things I made for myself and the scarf and mug cozy were for the fill-a-stocking swap

Thanks for looking!  Smiley  This was my first year of knitting, I am so in love with this additional skill under my belt!

Everything looks great, congratulations! I'm extra impressed that you pumped out all that knitting in time - when did you start all your gift knitting?

the shawl was started in August, the earflap hat maybe september... most everything else I'd say has been done in the last 3 minutes.  So, I didn't crunch myself TOO bad  Smiley  Just early enough that I was still able to enjoy the knitting  Grin

Thanks!

I've also only been knitting for a year.  I love it!  It's crazy how fun and addicting it is.  This year I'm definitely going to be working on Christmas presents all year round.  I already learned my lesson on that!

Where did you get the pattern for the skull scarf?  My husband has been bugging me for a scarf and I'd like to do something similar to that striped pattern, except instead of a skull I'll make it a Green Lantern emblem.

thanks, Maria!  It's definitely gratifying wearing stuff I knit myself  Smiley

twelvedaysold- it's the dark mark but it's definitely cool even if you're not a Harry Potter fan.  Here's the ravelry link to the pattern http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/dark-mark-illusion-scarf-pattern

I am now teaching myself crochet.  While there is way more projects that I like better than knit, I'm finding crochet equally addicting already  Smiley

Wow, I am feeling so totally lame about the dark mark!  I was too absorbed looking at the striping.  Thanks for the pattern!
