Oh no.  I thought it was bad that my 25 pound dog could reach the edges of the dining room table.

Such cute dogs everyone has.  I just sent in my questionnaire.  I'm looking forward to crafting some puppy goodness!

Here is a pic of my little guy, Riley.  He's a 7 month old lab.  So he has lots of energy and keeps me on my toes.

I'm jealous that everyone can get their dogs to hold still long enough to get a good photo.  Mine's too excitable.

This is why I will never get a puppy! Puppies are such a pain in the ass. Rescue dogs all the way  Grin Sometimes they have a few behavioral issues that need to be worked out, but in my mind that is nowhere near the trouble of a rambunctious little rascal that hasn't learned manners yet at all and can't go 2 hours without needing to poop. I'm exaggerating of course, puppies are awesome. But I still wouldn't get one--no matter how damn cute they are.

I've always wanted a puppy but I also rescue dogs from the shelter and puppies are rare. Usually people get bored with dogs after the puppy stage. Both of my dogs were already 1 year old by the time I adopted them.
However, I think I'd rather have a puppy than a 1 year old female that I had no idea was not fixed until she started bleeding 1 week after we adopted her. She was more hyper and feistier and still adjusting to us and I had to put diapers on her in order to keep her in the house (and away from the neighborhood strays). Every time I had to put a diaper on her by myself it was like an action movie! She'd bolt right past me, I had to run after her, jump-tuck-roll, grab her, put her between my knees and fling the diaper on in one swoop. A friend of mine says this is a very similar ritual with a toddler. I am not looking forward to doing that again lol
Note: We got her fixed about three weeks ago so I will not have to do that again, with her at least.

all of my dogs have been rescued, except for my brothers puppy and my future puppy. I really want a puppy so I can train it myself, haha. Only one of my rescues has had issues, she was tied to a tree and was really vicious around people when we got her. She's a sweet heart now, though!
