I made this quilt for a friend of mine who is due in a few weeks.  Her husband is getting deployed less than a week after her scheduled c-section at the beginning of June.  This is her 4th baby and she decided not to find out if it was a boy or a girl, although her husband did find out.  She had him text me with the gender so I could make a blanket accordingly, so she won't see this until she is at the hospital!

The bedding set they got is called "Tiny Paws" and I'm not sure if I can post a link to it (you can google tiny paws bedding and it is the first result on google), but it is cream and chocolate brown with paw prints.  They picked it in honor of her brother who passed away last year; he was a hunter and had once shot a black bear so that is where the paws come from.  I chose the camo binding for that reason and also since her hubby is in the Air Force.  So without further ado...







The top is flannel, and the back is minky which I will NEVER use for backing again - the back looks horrible and is all puckered even though I tried my hardest to go slowly and take my time with this whole process.  So you only get to see the nice corner Smiley

I debated whether or not I should use batting and I ended up not using any...the flannel and minky combination are plenty warm!

This looks awesome! I love the camo and all the little paws. She will def be happy with it! Great Job!
