This original template of this snowflake was designed to be cut from foam core.   I modified it to work with cardstock.  The finished snowflake is...oh...maybe 3" across.

There are four pieces: two whole snowflakes and two half snowflakes.  First you slot together the whole snowflakes at their centers.  Then each half snowlake slides on.  The halves have tabs that hook through the whole snowflake, holding them in place.

It was ridiculously delicate to cut, so I made a sturdier version.

The original pattern is from the Phlat Printer forum, here: http://www.phlatboyz.com/phlatforum/

My template (PDF, GSD, DXF) and assembly instructions are here:

Ooh, I love these! I'm already a big fan of snowflake designs, and 3D effect stuff, so this is awesome! Great job!

These are great.  I love snowflakes in any form, but 3D is best.  Good job.

I love these so much!!! This past year I moved out on my own so I was really excited to have a Christmas tree of my very own, and I went with a snowflake theme. I will definitely be trying to replicate these before next Christmas!  Grin
