Storage always seems to be a problem. There is however a very easy way to fold shopping bags in to a managable shape, and I was thinking how to explain the procedure in an easy to follow way. I then came up with a bag with its own folding instructions, actually sewn in the bag.
...and here is the result:
The "decorations" may look a bit strange. The bag itself is made of an old pillow case, which is very practical, since it already has the shape of a bag, kind of. The "decorations" are pieces of broshures, leaflets et.c. that keep coming in my mailbox. You can notice that they have different numbers. You will soon see why. The pieces of paper are sewn in behind triangles cut from an old piece of plastic I had laying around. The envelope with the cat is just an example of what you can put in the pocket that is on the right of the bag.
The other side of the bag looks like this. A big number 1:
There is an arrow and a line to show where to fold.
When you have folded along the line, you see this (the handles are now tucked inside the bag):
...and you fold number 2 down according to the arrow, along the line, and get this:
Time to look for number 3, which you can see in the upper right corner, and you fold it where the arrow points:
Number 4 turns up and you fold it, and so on with numbers 5 and 6:
Then you have this; the number 7 and a pocket that formed from the folding. You follow the instructions and tuck number 7 in the pocket:
...which gives you a triangle held together by itself and very easy to store or carry around:
You could keep it in your purse and easily unfold it when needed. Also the little black cat is just an example of what to put in the transparent pocket on the bag. One idea would be to keep the grocery list in there, to look at when shopping. Or just put any decorative image, fabric et.c. in there.
I hope you managed to follow my explanation. It really is very easy to fold with the instructions incorporated in the bag. It's harder to take good photos of though.
