One of the things on my bucket list is to teach someone how to drive.  I had a horrible experience and I want to help someone else through the process!  LOL  (I never write that)  so here's the offer.  I get in my car and visit you all and we do driving lessons...you pay for the gas and we're set?  Alice crafting in the back seat when class is not in session.

Beep Beep.  I hear Canada is lovely...are you ready for company?

Guys, I'm 38 and don't know how to drive. That's what happens when you grow up in Toronto, nobody there has a license! I kick myself now that I live in the boonies w 2 kids and no car, not to mention graduated licensing argh!

You too?  I'm 35 and don't drive.  My Dad took me a few times and c/o constantly that I was going too fast, and DH took me in his truck and even with the seats pushed forward as far as it would go, I sat on the edge to reach the pedals.  Then he yelled at me when I drove over a curb.

That's exactly what I mean.  I met a gal once who taught the deaf to drive.  There was no yelling.  Her method was in preparation and in giving her students confidence.  I think that's a lesson for all arenas of teaching no matter the subject.

...and now back to your regularly scheduled Alice discussion

Looking for a vintage magazine (1974 - 1978) that has a fabric nativity set w/ people and animals. An example: http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=440861&ppuser=143144.

Oh noes!  Teaching elementary age kids has taught me an appreciation for everything parents do O.O  Make sure when you do sit you have a nice cold or hot pack for your poor feet!  and back....and knees....and head Wink

okay. I kind of feel a bit better about the driving thing. hehe! Well. That should change soon. I found out yesterday my older brother is buying me a car. ("Don't get to excited. It's a piece of crap."-bro)  It doesn't matter though. It's a 1987 pontiac fiero. And that'll be a project that will get up on here. I've been planning on decking out my first car since I was like 15. So I'm going to go out there with some fabric and some supplies and make it mine. :3 I've got an air freshener shaped like a porta potty. It prolly doesn't even smell anymore. Oh and  a buddha to glue to the dashboard. hehehehe. I need to stop talking. XD
