This is my first post, hopefully I can figure it all out..

So, it's only February and I live in Minnesota, so I guess I won't be wearing a sundress anytime soon, but a girl can dream for early spring, so I made this little number out of some very stretchy knit thrift store material using a retro bikini top pattern for the top (Kwik Sew 2082).

Hopefully someday it will be warm enough to wear it and I can post some action shots!

Cheesy really really pretty! I think I'll go to my fabric store and buy stuff to make myself one to!

It's inspiring me to think more about spring dresses!   Smiley

There's a similar retro bathing suit pattern for free at burdastyle:  http://www.burdastyle.com/patterns/alison

This dress is such a great inspiration ! I especially love the straps.
Thank you for posting it. I'd love to see action shots when the weather becomes nicer.

Beautiful dress!  I would put on a long sleeve tee, some arm warmers, and some tights or pants and rock it right now! Wink

DIY - I live in Minn too - and I totally get it. I started on a summer dress for myself last week as well, ha.

It looks great - love the print and the straps.
Maybe you can turn the heat up in your place for an evening and wear it around for a bit?
