Never made one before. I did this without a pattern, but I can figure it out if anyone wants me to. It was pretty straightforward. Lots of double crochet, and a bit of single around the edge. I used this really old yarn from my stash that fades into pink and brown and white and green, and it's just been sitting there. This morning I decided my roots looked awful so I wanted to cover them. This came out in two hours of watching Project Runway marathons and texting my big sister.

wow--you are a fast crocheter!  I like the colors and I do admire people who can crochet without a pattern, which I am just learning to do myself!

Very cute hat--stylish and looks comfy as well!

Yeah, I'm pretty fast. Gramma taught me in fourth grade and I just never stopped. I can crochet without looking too. Wink I've discovered that with doing your own thing, patternless, it helps to expect it to come out like garbage, cuz then there's no let-down.

And thanks. Usually my hats itch or cut off my circulation, so I have to trash them, but I wore this all day and no problems!

I love this hat! I've recently have started to crush on slouchy hats, but have yet to make one for myself. I am also a huge fan of the yarn you used!

Thanks! The yarn came from walmart a few years ago, I think. And they may still stock it...
