And I got a project...or a couple of em... that don't resemble anything else I've seen on this board (or anywhere really) yet...

THESE are my Eggletts  Grin

(back view)

Egg-blowing... yes, yes, I know how bad it sounds, but thats about the only thing to call it. If you've never tried it, but you enjoy the occasional murderous headache now and then (can u taste the sarcasm?), it's great! Roll Eyes

Has anyone else ever tried this sort of project? Seriously, it's pretty fun, but can be frustrating. You have to be sure to have a steady hand and light touch...or, if not, then make sure you have a lot of extra eggs.  Grin

Hi, Emmi-Licious and welcome!  Your egg critters are very cute and well done.  I like how you gave them tails to cover the blow holes.

I used to decorate blown eggs a long time ago, but it was just marblizing with food coloring and then drawing designs with a rapidograph.  A friend at the time was also doing it and gave me one of her creations.  Through some miracle, it's still intact (but a bit faded) and I've had it now for about 25 yrs.

I feed my soul with the stitches I sew.

Hey Emmi...

I did this egg blowing once in grade 9 I think? But I completely forgot about it until I saw your adorable creatures!

Ahh.. the memories it was so much fun to do but yeah I think I used a lot of eggs cause they kept breaking.

Your eggies are so cute, I think I'll try it out again, my neices would love them!

I have gotten it into my head for some reason that this year I'm going to have an all natural/recycled items Christmas and I want to do the egg blowing technique as the round ornaments for the tree.  Don't know why I felt like sharing that, lol.
