I started this before my son was born. He's now 8 1/2 months. I used Butterick pattern B4560. It didn't actually take 9 months to do, but I found all the pockets annoying to do (and yet so desirable to have), so it was hard to get motivated. I got the fabric at the creative reuse center where I worked, so the only things I bought new were the thread and the keychain swivel clasp.

One of 7 pockets!

lotsa room inside!

and I'll be able to find my keys Smiley

That fabric is very eye catching...it got my attention to come look.  You did a great job on the bag and I'm sure you'll get many compliments while using it out and about...very nice! Smiley

I love this diaper bag.  I have been trying to find a way to make one myself.  I even attempted it, and it was huge!  That was a big, big over site on my part.  I really like your bag though.  I may have to check into that pattern myself.

I adore the fabric and the multitudes of pockets!! I have no use for a diaper bag (my dogs don't wear diapers) but I could still put a bag like yours to great use Smiley.

Thanks for the kind words. If it survives the next couple of years (I tend to be hard on stuff) I will probably keep using it for me. And marethann, it's probably a good thing your dogs don't wear diapers Grin
