We usually put this paper in the recycle bin - but there has to be some sort of craft(s) that I could use it for.  What do you think?

Not too crafty, but I use old paper to print again (notes and things that I need on paper but doesn't really matter if it looks proper) and I use them for scrap papers since we're always taking down notes and numbers in my house.

There are plenty of paper-making tutorials on this site that you could use to break them down and create your own paper!  And the ink on the paper will give it cool coloring and design!

I work in a law office, we kill trees like it's going out of style!  I try and convince the boys to recycle as much as possible, but it's not easy.

Whenever we have leftover paper that does NOT have any sensitive information on it, I try to take it home and stash it.  These pages frequently get colored/stamped all over and used to wrap gifts and etsy purchases!

Where i'm working they reuse their paper by cutting them into small squares, line up one edge of the pack of papers and make sure its perfectly straight, and then they run a line of contact cement on the edge so that the papers are stuck together and voila! you have your own notebook with easy rip off papers.. I dnt know if this is good explanation but i tried.

I always reuse the blank side for notes, kids art, or printing.

Then when both sides are full, I put it in the recycle for shredding. After it is shredded you can recycle it or use it to make
homemade paper http://www.ehow.com/how_4432407_make-homemade-paper.html, or use it as packing material when shipping packages. I've heard you can use it as mulch in the garden, but I don't recommend that unless it is brown paper. White paper makes a terrible mess when it blows around the yard. You can compost paper, white or brown.

My Friend Sent Me A "Letter" One Day When Her Office Was Throwing Out A Carton Of Continuous Paper. She Wrote 1 Word On Each Page, And It Was A Funny Letter, And She Bundled It Up And Mailed It To Me. Well, I Was Very Surprised At The Big Envelope And The 250 Page Letter! I Enjoyed It So Much, I've Kept It For 25 Years So I Can Read It Back To Her At Our 25 Year Grad Reunion!

Use A Hole Punch On One Edge And Thread A Piece Of String Or Yarn Through & Tie Up

Write A Letter To A Friend And Be A Blessing On Their Day!

I've done the notebook thing - line them up, and basically glue down the top edge.  It's an easy project.

I've also converted a lot of "handed-in' essays to gift wrap (home made stamps and an inkpad) and some of that to envelopes (using the method for bubble mailers, but with no bubble wrap).  It's a good way to reuse some paper.

I also work in a law office and I'm always surrounded by bags of shredded paper that I feel like I should be doing something responsible with.
I use the cross-shred stuff to ship things instead of bubble wrap.  I have a bag of strip shred stuff that I want to make some paper out of.
My bosses doodle in court while waiting for their turn...so I have been keeping a file of all the doodles they do, and for christmas I'm going to frame them and mat them with some paper I've made out of the strip shred stuff so they can hang them in their offices.

*L*  I live in a pretty small town (about 5000 people) with two sitting judges and two visiting judges...so there's a little bit of doodle time between clients.
