At least I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful relationship between me and my carving tools  Grin

My first project: The wooden duck!

(Well, okay technically my second project, but my first that wasn't an assignment. My actual first try can be found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=378181.msg4467145#msg4467145)
He's about 3.5 inches tall, and is carved from a scrap piece of pine I found kicking around. Considering I did the majority of the carving in the semi-darkness next to a bonfire, I'm pretty proud of him.

I gave him to a friend as part of an inside joke; it's rather long to explain, but the punchline was, "There's more than one way to own a duck!".
Anyhoo, thanks for looking! C&C welcome.
