This is really nice, the colors fit Mardi Gras. One suggestion tho, if I may, topstitch your bag about 1/8" from the edge - that will give it that finished looked.

Thanks for the suggestion!  I have seen top stitching but I have not yet ventured to do it.  Perhaps I will try it out.

I love practicality, no straps to slip off your shoulder, no big bulky bag to hit kids in the head with....very cute.

Just used that same everglades fabric to line a new bag I made.
