I just finished up a ruffle scarf, looks pretty much like this one but different colors/yarn of course:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=331907.0

However, at the end of the pattern I loosely followed, it says to "block lightly".
I have never blocked anything before in my life. I looked it up a bit and understand the gist of it... but I'm not quite sure how to go about blocking the ruffles.

I'm just wondering if I should block the straight part, bottom edge, etc, of the scarf and ignore the ruffles? Or what should I do?
Right now, it is quite twisted and it doesn't lay as nicely as the one in the link above, so I'm sure blocking it would be a great help. But I don't want to mess up the ruffles either..

Any advice would be appreciated!! Thank you!
