Beautiful.

I love how well the style suits you.  You were a very beautiful bride.

Thank you so much everyone. I'm so glad that other people can use something from it, even if it was just to help find a pattern Smiley

Sewing my own wedding dress was NOT something I ever imagined I'd do (I started sewing relatively recently) but I am so glad I did. Wedding planning was stressful and unpleasant, and I was very glad that the dress at least was in my hands. Strangely enough, despite the last-minute rush, sewing it was the thing that relaxed me most.

To anyone who's considering sewing their own dress, I'd say give yourself plenty of time to do a mock-up, but once you know that works then absolutely go for it.

Thank you again for all the congratulations!

Wow, that is beautiful. I admire your talent. I work in a bridal shop and just doing the fittings one some of our dresses can be a nightmare. But making one??? You look absolutely stunning. Congratulations Grin

Congratulations on your wedding and the incredible job you did with the dress.  I LOVE that you lined it with bed sheets.

From someone who spent a career making wedding dresses...Bravo! I'd never have guessed that you made it yourself. Everything about it is so perfect... you are absolutely Georgeous.
Congratulations, Again!

Oh my goodness, this is beautiful! It suits you so well.
Its exactly the sort of style i'm looking for for my own dress - hope you don't mind but i'm copying and pasting one or two of your pictures into my 'wedding dress ideas' file and am taking note of the pattern number to show my mother-in-law (unlike you i'm not clever enough to make my own dress!)
Congratulations Cheesy
