This is the supply closet of the renowned cryptid hunter, Loren Coleman. Spending years and years tracking the elusive creatures of the unknown world of cryptozoology, Dr. Coleman has become obsessed with locating some of the most famous cryptid creatures. Unfortunately, Dr. Coleman has become so fixated on finding these critters, he has neglected his office and supply closet leaving behind him a mess of newspaper clippings, evidential findings, and forgotten equipment. But most notable of all in this disorder and chaos is a certain trickster cryptid crouched down in the corner, hiding from the world. Oh Dr. Coleman...if only you realized Bigfoot is not elusive...he is just a shy prankster.























This was something I made for myself after making a similar one for a swap partner. (Robbinzombie, if you are reading this, don't worry! This is not a total spoiler- yours is based on an entirely different cryptid and theme!) I liked hers so much, I knew I had to have one with my own favorite cryptid. Hopefully she doesn't read this, but if she does, oh well. Hers is made pretty different, and she already knows she is getting a cryptid cabinet.

This one is made from a small curio cabinet from a thrift store and JUNK. Yes, more junk. (Sigh...I am such a hoarder.) I did not buy one thing for this piece. And tons of it was stuff I have saved forever, knowing it would come in handy someday. The articles/sketches/pictures are all real articles that I searched then shrunk in photoshop. I gave them a sepia tone and printed them on newspaper type paper, and then added brown ink to the edges to age them. And the bigfoot sightings listed on the chalkboard are the "real" dates people have claimed to see him. A big thanks to Rackycoo for inspiration! Sorry for such a long post and thanks for looking!!

That is amazing, who doesn't love Loren Coleman?! Absolutely beautiful, and hilarious- you should send some pictures to him, he'd at least put it on Cryptomundo, lol!

I posted it on my blog and the real Dr. Loren Coleman Cryptozoologist himself somehow came across it and asked if I would donate it to his International Museum of Cryptozoology! That was very unexpected. lol. I didn't think he would ever even see it, let alone want it!
