Hi, I'm a Mac. Hi, I'm a PC. Hi, I'm a market bag

I really wanted to participate in this challenge because I make market bags all the time. It's something I think many do not realize the amount of waste that is involved that could easily be prevented. I couldn't think of anything that hadn't been done a billion times already though. Then last week my SO came across a computer to scrap that had this really pretty bright purple case. I wanted to make something out of it but couldn't think of anything, so I had it sitting in the recycle bin. This challenge fluttered across my creative conscious again & voila the mammoth computer market bag.
I started with the outer case & an old compaq keyboard.
This picture should be a public service announcement for cleaning out your keyboard. None of this was visible until after I took the keys off. The person who owned it previously must have ate over the keys. Don't click if you are easily geeked out by dirty stuff.
I drilled holes all along the bottom & sides & used zip ties to attach everything. I tried to work with a lot of the existing pieces. (ie zip ties through key holes & enlarging screw holes)
The handle is the cord from the keyboard. I did one continuous loop for support. You can adjust the wires that run across the inside of the bag if you have something larger.
For size reference. I have 2 cereal boxes, a box of nilla wafers, a 3liter of juice & the bread. Which BTW will never get crushed in this bad boy.
This is me. Again for size reference I am almost 6 feet tall & plus size. So you can see it's ginormous.
I had a great time trying to think outside of the box
. I hope everyone likes it!

That is inspired! I could do with a firewood box like that.
It's big enough to hold coal and/or firewood.

Oh yeah. Definitely big enough. I don't know how the handle would hold up over time if you used the power cord like this one. Granted I was yanking on it pretty hard all through this & it didn't budge when I had it loaded down. Go for it! I would love to see one.
I'm glad you guys enjoyed it. I was so happy to make something out of items we recycle all the time.
