Tie-dyed onesies

My friend is going to have a daughter sometime in the coming month, and I wanted to give her some great gifts that I know she'll need. I had already made her blankets, and I know clothes are a big thing when having a newborn, so I decided to try my hand at tie-dying some onesies for her. I used the Tulip brand tie-dye kit and created 5 lovelies. I am extremely happy with my results seeing as I haven't dyed anything but my hair since Girl Scouts, say 15 or so years ago...




These two are my favorite ones! I really don't like the patterns on larger shirts, but I think they work great on these tiny little things

Now, you may be thinking to yourself, "Didn't she say she made 5 shirts? Where's the 5th one?" Well, it wasn't really too exorbitant on the dyeing part verses the needlework I added to it, so I posted it over on the Needlework Board if you're interested.

OH THEY ARE SO CUTE!!! i love tie dye and have been wanting to try it for so long but i cannot find the right items i want to dye and if i do they are never made of the right fabric

i think they look so cute and the bub will be so cool in them

Okay, I lied on the other post, as soon as my dd saw these she made me promise to post her comment, lol.

She says the orange one is her favorite because it reminds her of a giraffe, and giraffes are her favorite thing ever.  Then she demanded we try this project so she could make some of her own giraffe shirts.

IMO, that onsie is WAY CUTER than a giraffe, but whatever!!

I love these, it takes me back to when my daughter was a baby, she lived in tie-dyed onesies and babygro's (the ones with the long sleeves and feet) and bandannas, I never took to the pink fluffiness,

These would make a great shower party thing to do!! So cute and practical and way cuter than some of the cutesy stuff I see everywhere!  Is the dye you are using safe for the baby?  I know nothing about dyes...or babies...

Super cute! I made some for my best friends baby shower using Dylon dye. They lasted through all the mess of infantcy.
