i made this for a costume class at school. it's a ball of yarn getting stabbed with knitting needles. it's symbolic of a human, hence the colors i choose  Wink

it's chicken wire for the base, then paper mache, then i painted it red so you would see the "blood" underneath a bit, then i covered it in yard.

close up of entry wound. i sprayed the needles (sculpted cardboard) with red paint to look like blood spatter. than strung a ton of red yarn to look like blood was oozing everywhere.

i actually don't knit, but i crochet. therefore i thought it'd be appropriate for the knitting needles to be killing me. as i've tried to knit and it never works out!
