I saw a tutorial for this done as a valentine card with valentine fabric on this sewing website, last night, and thought I could manage to make one of these for my MIL.  I need tutorials for some things, not that talented as you gals who create all these gorgeous cards I've seen on here.  My MIL likes flowers and stuff so I found some scraps big enough to make the teacup out of and it actually worked for me  Shocked  Cheesy Cheesy It was fun and fast and now I just have to figure out what to put on the inside of the card...got a bit of time still before V Day   Grin

This is the site I found the tutorial on, hope it's ok to post the link here...   http://www.sewing.org/

Beautiful! I would love to receive something like that. For the inside sentiment, have you tried searching "valentine poetry", "valentine greetings", "valentine for mom", or similar? I can usually turn up something suitable that way.

Yes, look online at various card sites, you'll find something appropriate!

This is really adorable.  Would be great for a get well, too.
Thanks for the link.  I've never been to that site before and they have all kinds of neat projects posted for newbies like me.

Very cute and such a great idea!  You did a nice job.  I'm sure she will love it.

I've been looking for ideas for a church craft bazaar coming up and I think these would be great!  If I make a set of four or six of them with generic flower fabric and just leave the inside blank, do you think people would buy them?

Thanks Ladies Grin

I really do think they would sell well as blanks...and with a couple teabags in them, they're a winner for sure!!  You could even put those little hot chocolate packs in them instead.
