This is the first time I've put something up here! I've got some items together and I'm in the process of trying to set up my folksy shop, it's taking longer than I hoped because of a lack of time due to my day job!

Ok here's two resin necklaces I finished off at the weekend, let me know what you think!

(hope they show up ok, it's the first time I've posted images)

If you'd like to do a larger picture you could:
1. go to flikr
2. go to "all sizes"
3. go to medium or large.
4. right click, hit properties
5. copy the url og the ".jpg" image
6. come back to craftster and paste that for the image

great necklaces and they work so well with the cords you've used Smiley I've been wanting to have a go at resin for a while now but i don't know what i'd need to get started.  did you use a mold and do you have to drill the little hole for the finding bit?

yes i use a mould, I got a mould that has something like 22 different shapes in it from an artclay supplier. Yeah the holes are drilled - i think my bit is 1mm, i'm on the look out for a smaller one. I just used a normal household drill but loads of people use dremels too.

There's loads of information on how to get started in resin on the resin sticky thread, good luck! looking forward to seeing what you make.

they're actually sign vinyl so they're like very thin sheets of plastic with the colour all the way through. Thank you!
I've also done some in white backed with black resin

I just posted my first resin peices too!  I love the way yours turned out.   I am adding it to my idea file!  How do you get the resin black?

you can get dyes for resin in all colours,  or you can try with mica power or even with pastels (just scrape them to a powder)
