Favorite shirt out of burned fabric.

Out of everything Ive ever made I love this shirt the most. It is so comfy and you can dress it up so easily but it still looks great with jeans. The base of the shirt is a lush purple velvet that Ive had floating around for years. I had to do some creative patter cutting since I barely had 2 yards of the stuff. The center panel is a 2 toned irredecent with stars and moons all over it. I had 6 yards of it draped over my bed in the old house and after it burned I managed to salvage about a yard. I always get tons of comments on this shirt and always feel almost pretty when I wear it.
Sorry for the bad photos, my only camera is my phone. Ok on to the pics.
Wow my room is messy. Need to clean and organize.
Close up of the 2 fabrics
Ok I know I look strange in this picture but I was trying to get a different angle and my arms arint that long. Oh and as for whats all over my floor, my dog decided one of her toys had to die. Aparently it was mouthing or something.
Just the back.
I like how the neckline turned out. I have a habit of just kind of making it up as I go, Im a little opposed to using patterns

This is great! That center panel is amazing against the velvet. It looks really great.
I sew like that too - make my own stuff up without a pattern. Well, it's even worse than that, in all honesty...the truth is that I can't follow a pattern to save my soul unless it's written for 5 year olds.
This post makes me think I need to try a shirt project!

A shirt is really easy actually. I used to make scrub tops practically in my sleep when I was a CNA. I had it down to an hour for everything, cutting, sewing and finishing.

This is cute! It's sooo something I would wear. And I agree with you about making things up as you go along. I'm exactly the same way!
