This is really awesome!  I have a lot of orphan lids....no plarn, though.  Have to figure something else out.  =)

thank you for all the nice compliments ...

the awesome thing about a project like this is it's not only great with plarn but it is fiber friendly, tarn (t-shirt) friendly, harn (hosiery) friendly, jarn (jean yarn) friendly....

for that matter, have any old pillow cases laying around?  Rip out the bottom seam and do a hand stitch to attach lid and VIOLA!! you have your very own lid bottom shopping tote ...

Clever AND good looking!
I like how you used contrasting Plarn to make stripes and edge the bag....

I THINK you use this idea for knitting, too. Maybe crochet 1 round around the holes--anything to create loops-- then pick up stitches from there.

Or, you can puch holes, do a blanket stitch all around and sew the 2 lids together then pick up stitches etc.  Sometimes you can have some rectangular lids lying around that some of the Chines take-out places use.  That would be even better to use by connecting 2 rectangles together, especially for knitting.
