Last week was sooooo horrible, the full moon makes my kids unbearable and everything else just seemed to fall apart.  Retail therapy was out of the question  Sad  so I made myself a new hat, and that made me feel better  Grin

And finally a view from the top

I used a free pattern from Rheatheylia, more info on my blog

Beautiful! I love it, you did a great job! I haven't been crocheting for very long, but would love to try making one for my sister-in-law. I'm up for a challenge (and this looks like it may be one!)
The color looks great on you too!

may2304, it wasn't very hard at all, as long as your comfortable with fpdc you shouldn't have any problems  Smiley

Aw man. This pattern gave me fits, I must've frogged it 3 or 4 times before I finally gave up on it. Tongue

You did a beautiful job though, looks fantastic! Smiley

I found the pattern confusing at first.  It isn't written like a "professional" pattern.  After a few tries I got the hang of it.

I think it would definitely fit a larger noggin!  Mine is pretty roomy on me, you should give it a try.  I loved making this hat and have had many requests from friends, they all seem to fit just fine without me having to tweak the pattern at all.
