Hi  my names Sarah,

I’m working with The Abundant Ground Foundation   (http://www.abundantground.org/index.html) to supply their Haiti orphanage with 181 dollies…..  and well to put it blankly I need all the help I can get!! They have also said they would be willing to distribute any excess dolls (if we’re so lucky!) to the local children who have nothing to call their own….

here are some photos of the dollies:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/sarahlhanson/4312314913/in/pool-dollydonations

I have made a Free Rag Dolly pattern, all the steps photographed, and a couple of video tutorials also!

Just thought a couple of people might be interested in helping,

Please feel free to drop by and see how I am doing, e-mail me any time and ……….., happy sewing!

Take care,

Sarah

I keep getting asked how many dolls I have made, so I decided I would do a count. Don’t worry I am not expecting everyone to do all the hard work of making a dolly while I sit back, put my feet up and have a cup of tea (I know I know, very British!) Trust me, I have been working very hard, and after 3 weeks of cutting, sewing, stuffing and painting …… I am happy to report that I have 42 Dollies!!! That’s 21 boys and 21 girls, and I am exhausted!!  Cheesy

We have have 74 all together!!!  It's just so exciting!

come see the photos:
