Details of swap

Welcome to the second round!

This swap is open to all those with an appreciation for Herbalism!  Participants may choose to create gifts based on the culinary, medicinal, therapeutic, and/or cosmetic uses of plants, or base their ideas an herbalist’s lifestyle.  There are plenty of paths to choose from when crafting!

There is no point system that must be followed. This will hopefully encourage participants to dedicate their full potential and energy to each gift.  While efforts can be made between partners to avoid a largely unbalanced exchange, it is important to understand and accept that such outcome may occur regardless.

As mentioned previously, there will be a maximum of 20 participants for this round.  This is not meant to exclude others who may be interested in joining but I personally enjoy more intimate groups.  I am willing to remove the limit for future rounds should there be a need.

Take a peak at the previous round (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=321348.msg3704650#msg3704650).  The gallery link is included at the top of the first post.

Yup..... I'm signing up!!  Thanks for giving us a long crafting time, too!  You know every one will be busy once Spring starts (which for me isn't too far away at all!! YAY!!), and this gives plenty of time to squeeze in some herbal crafts!!!   Grin

By they way... I LOVE the new title!!

Thanks Jenna!  It's the name of my business-in-development, actually!  I figure that the more I see the name, the more I will feel motivated to work on it.

I'm so happy you and Amy have decide to participate again!  May the 17 remaining spots will fill up early and we can get started sooner...

I hope so, too!!  I think just for giggles... as soon as I'm done with my stuff for the Frugal Living Swap I'm going to go ahead and brainstorm like crazy, pick up some fresh herbs and maybe even make a small thing or two!  You know, just for those giggles!  Cheesy

I'll be sending in my info after a bit. I got a new book in the mail, and I'm dying to get to creating from it. The book is "Organic Body Care Recipes" by Stephanie Tourles ..  has anyone used/seen/tried this book? Off to grocery shop, then to sign up!

Dreadlock  I love the name!! Good luck with the business!

hmmm I don't do a lot with herbalism myself, but my dad does, would I maybe be able to do this with him in mind?  (ie, he fills out the questionnaire so that the gift is for him, but I would  craft, with his input for the other person)?

I have it!  Mountain Rose Herbs carries it so I ordered it from Amazon last year.  There are TONS of pages marked with post-it notes because I wanted to get around to trying them.  Many of them seem simple and require basic ingredients.  Otherwise, I've made a couple batches of the Bloomin' Belly Butter, the Ruby-Red Aphrodisiac Herb Tea (for myself as well as for the Hippy Swap), the Healing and Cooling Lip Balm, Smooth and Sensual Cinnamon Love Balm (my partner and I messed this one up, though we were actually talking about trying it again this past weekend), and the Body Honey.  Thanks for mentioning the book, it was one I hadn't looked at in a while but flipping through it to find the recipes I've tried makes me want to get to the ones I haven't!

I don't see why you couldn't write your wishlist with your dad in mind.  You may also develop an interest for yourself in the process.  But do be aware the the wishlist is only a guide to help partners learn about each other and come up with ideas.  Participants do not have to exactly what is on their partner's list.
