just wondering where this "bazaar bizarre" providence got started...

it might be a good idea for the organizers to either

a) get their own name

-or-

b) ask permission to use the name Bazaar Bizarre from the organizers of the Boston/LA event

i agree about the name, when i found out it was unaffiliated, i found it a little disturbing.  but on the other hand, as220 is a not for profit artspace and i don't think they're trying to rip anybody off

you can contact the coordinator (natalia karoway-waterhouse) at natalia@as220.org to discuss it

maybe next time it could be the bizarre bazaar...i don't think there's a patent/copyright/trademark on that (and is there on the boston/la one??)

actually, i think it *is* the bizarre bazaar and i mixed it up.  but still,  that doesn't really solve the problem of the coordinators and founders of the original bb getting upset about their idea being used without permission.  even if it means that more artists and craftspeople are finding an opportunity to sell and exchange their handmade items.

i corrected the little web flier allison and i made (the print flier DOES read "bizarre bazaar) and dropped a line to the organizer to let her know your concern about the name/event.  hopefully she'll contact you!
