because it's raining.

FYI, this is an understatement....it's pourin' buckets out there.  BUT, if all this rain was snow....we'd be buried.  I just can't wait to see the sun....hope it's soon.

I went to the Post Office today and they were closed for lunch...what the heck?  The school bus stop is near there so I will try again later Cool

I brought the yarn for one of my packages with me today intending to hit the post office after work to look into my shipping options but given how icy it was on the sidewalks this morning, I might have to try it tomorrow instead.

I'm thinking I *might* be able to do "light packet" for at least my US partners, assuming I can use the bigger envelopes, and that would be fantastic. ^_^

As I shoveled up the slop of snow and water, I did have the same thought- supposedly an inch of rain is like 10 inches of snow (although I've never verified that bit). We're supposed to get hit with more on Friday, I think.

And, how are people who head to the PO during their own lunch break supposed to get anything mailed? Is there only 1 clerk in your PO? I suppose that could explain it...

I've got partner #1 all rolled up and am just about to start on partner #2. Then, I'll move on to partner #3! If the weather isn't too awful tomorrow afternoon, I should be able to send tomorrow. But, if it's as bad as it sounds, I'll send on Saturday, I hope Wink

I've got all my yarn measured; I bought envelopes on the way home from work (after a lengthy discussion with the woman working there); and I have one package completely ready (the one for KwiltyKate) which is going to Australia, so it's definitely going out tomorrow.  I have the other two envelopes labeled, I just have to re-wrap the yarn to make the balls as flat as possible so as to get the flat-packet rate.

We'll see how it goes. ^_^

I really should've done 3 partners, I didn't realize how cheap the shipping would be!

Love to supply goodies, especially hand spun.  I had to learn how to do it because I was never getting it in swaps and can cost a lot to buy.  Nice thing about doing your own also is then you can really make what you want.  This is my first time spinning sari silk, so it is a little lumpy, but still beautiful.  I'm not quite half way done yet.

hmmmmm.....I do have an awful lot of roving

I really need to try out my drop-spindle.... mr.fantastic made* me buy a starter kit on Etsy just before we moved and I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

*I found it on Etsy and thought it was neat, and when I showed him the listing he went and clicked on "add to cart".  I love that man!

Does mr.fantastic have a brother? Wink

I'm happy to report that I have all of my Odd Balls ready to go. I do need to get some better envelopes, which I'll try to get tomorrow. Then, I'll be sending on Saturday!

And myklia, I can't wait to see what you're spinning up!
