I'm thinking of auctioning off a quilt for Doctors without Borders or similar to help with Haiti.  Does anyone have experience auctioning something for charity online?  I see there's a way to do it through Etsy, and another through eBay.  Both of those options take a portion off the top, which is less than desirable, but they also handle the logistics, so there's that advantage.  Has anyone done an auction via their blog?

What have you learned... any advice for me before I do this?

I know that Craftster member Taloola is doing an online auction right now,you might want to pm her and see how she did it. Maybe something on Facebook? I really like the blog idea. You can have them pay through paypal and sent it as a gift then they don't take any money off the top.

I just auctioned off one of my glass pendants on Deviant art. I had people bid through comments, it was very successful :3

This is for Haiti? I'd love to help out also!

When I'm not making crafts, I'm dreaming them up!
