I gotta agree with everyone here, your shrine really does rock. Especially because everything in the shrine is specifically significant to your theme, but they all work together in a cohesive whole. I've failed at that enough to know it's a lot harder than it seems! So many of the entries are wa-a-ay out there, with pop-ups, fold-outs, springs, strings, pasties and blinkies (guilty!), and here you've given us a very simple matchbox with some small, precious objects in it and made it so touching and so beautiful. Way to go!

Aww, thanks Wulf!  I think it's all those years of theatre training, being told that all the elements must come together "as a cohesive whole" for the play to work.  Jim and I actually got married just as I was finishing grad school.  I had my thesis show open one week, the thesis documentation due the next.  Graduation the week after that.  The wedding one week later, and 5 days after, I moved across the country to start a new job, where I was the resident designer.  Jim joked that my wedding binder didn't look like other girls wedding binders, because it wasn't so much full of pictures of pretty dresses & flowers, as it was divided into sections, and meticulously organized just like my show binders.  If an item didn't fit into "the cohesive whole", it didn't even make it into the binder, let alone the wedding.
