I just received a bonus package from A2K who sent me some gorgeous warm legwarmers! I love the cables and the color she picked is so pretty!

I tried to take a picture wearing them and man its hard to take a flattering picture of your legs! The color in the first picture is closer to accurate.

Thank you so much Tonya!!! You rock  Grin

Prepare to wist and be jealous, ladies!  Here's my swap package from cjclark!  Again, we swapped with the inspiration of L.M. Montgomery's work, and she made me a package based on Anne Shirley herself!

First, the quilt.  I actually got a quilt someone made for me.  It's the perfect size for in the car, I've found out, which is AWESOME when I get back in the car all cold and cranky from doing a winter ghost tour!  It's also awesome for surfing Craftster on the couch!

Here it is, modeled by a cranky husband and cranky cat.  The foreshortening makes her look huge, but she's actually super tiny, lol.  Or maybe it's her rage about me getting out the camera and trying to take the blanket away from her.

Here's the detail shot.  She actually used reproduction fabrics from the Civil War era, which is not only period appropriate for a quilt from Green Gables, it's also very appropriate as we do civil war costumed tours.  Very very awesome!!  I took it to one of my cooking shows, and the host about stole it from me LOL.

I love looking through all the interesting fabrics and trying to pick a favorite. Smiley

Then, and I don't know if I'm more excited about this or the quilt lol, is a NEEDLEBOOK.  Oh I've been wanting one of these since I was a kid and my mom had this really cool '70's owl one. Smiley

This one is super cool with the snap, and the way it opens like a flower to reveal the needles.  My kitties thank you too, for helping keep them safe from needles and pins they might swallow.

Here's the inside!  I'm a huge fan of that gray/lavender color in there with the felt.

There was also homemade oatmeal bread and jam, but uh... it might be in my belly.  Smiley

*WOW* That quilt is amazing!! I can't imagine how much time it took to piece all those little squares together! It reminds me of the quilts my great-grandmother used to make, and that is the highest compliment I can give- she was amazing. That needlebook is fabulous too- I love the shape. Lol, totally coveting your package.  Cheesy

I'm living/working in Yosemite Nat'l Park til further notice! Blogging about it here. No swapping for me, and minimal crafting time, for the coming months. Almost done with library school! That sums things up for now.

Yeah, I couldn't believe it when she said that she was open to making me a lap quilt for a altered book!  I know the altered book took FOREVER, but I've done some quilting with my great aunt and unless cjclark is a superfast quilter the likes that I have never seen before, I totally got the best end of the swap.

Such amazing work!
