"Adventure is out there." -Up

So my first semester in college all the blank and boring walls of the dorms were driving me nuts. Our hall ran a hall activity that involved painting these adoable little 4x6 canvases to spice up the study lounge. There were a ton left and so I being the thrifty resident art major (art education actually) that I am snagged a few for when inspiration struck. And so it did, and my Beatles portaits were born!

Paul & Ringo

George & John

In their place of honor above my desk Smiley (please don't hold the twilight calandar against me...it was a present from my grandmom...haha)

John, Paul, Ringo, and George are all freehanded in acrylic paint on 4x6 canvas and are based off of the cover art of their album A Hard Days Night. My camera's not the best, but there is supposed to be a kind of two-toned effect to each of the background colors. They look really nice above my desk and really manage to liven up my walls! Questions, comments, concerns are always welcome!

Dual ode to the Beatles and Andy Warhol?  Wink

Great project!!

The only purpose of the day job is to buy the craft supplies!! Cheesy  Seriously, I LOVE making personalized crafts. I now have a line of hand-crafted fans and notecards using the Zentangle (R) technique. I have also become a Certified Zentangle Teacher and teach other artforms and techniques.
