Is it white? What is the center stuff? Its great as usual. Another question , what did you use for those metal circles? Is it pleather or vinyl. Sorry, for the zillion questions, its hard for me to tell what materials you used. DId you make one for yourself?

it's 2 layers of white vinyl, with an overlay of clear vinyl to hold the film strip in. the film strip has two people sitting on the side of the road, but i don't have a clue which actual movie it's from. and the circles are snaps, that's how it does up. there's a bunch of snaps, so if her size changes or anything, it should still fit. it's a heavier vinyl, technically upholstery vinyl. what's the difference between pleather and vinyl again?

oh, and i did make myself one, but i haven't put the snaps on yet!

Very creative, where did you get movie strips? I didn't even know they existed.

i got them from a store here in vancouver. it sells recycled stuff and left overs from other industries. i buy a ton of art supplies there.

 there's a bunch of snaps, so if her size changes or anything, it should still fit.

I just laughed at this....mostly cause i joke with my friends that i am the ever-expanding woman!

Seriously though, its a fabulous belt.  I plan on wearing it out for a night of extreme inebriation this wednesday (my boyfriend, with whom i am currently "taking a break"--really what the 'ell is that?--is moving out and i don't expect to be in my happy place--Ahhh...self medicating!)

while the self medicating can be great for short term (oh, is it ever good! but if you do it for too long, the belt REALLY won't fit!), what you need to do is start crocheting or knitting. honestly, crocheting kept me sane when my common law partner and i split up last summer. it's not that complicated that you need to pay a lot of attention, which is good when your brain is all fuzzy. but you do have to keep track of what you're doing, which gets your mind off of the stressful stuff. it took him 3 and a half weeks to move out, and i helped him move, along with his new partner. i made a lot of scarves and ponchos in those weeks!

the knitting/crocheting does help....but it also keeps my OCD self up waaaaaaaay into the wee hours!

and i got a funfur belt too! thanks dorkabrain! it's very very fun!

(my kitten likes the ribbon ties too, she keeps trying to climb my leg while i'm wearing it! i think i'll only be able to wear it with jeans, they're the only pants that protect my legs enough from her claws!)

Sorry for the late reply to your comment, crafty_dame. So glad you like it, funny that you said the kitten tries to claw it, I've heard that before about some of my crafts.

I prefer wearing the belt in the picture you quoted too, I think it just adds to the great belt you came up with. Thanks again.
