Great work, Belladune! I hadn't seen any fractal yarn knitted up before; I like how the colors blend. The cat appears to like it, too.
I really like the colors of that fiber from Zombie Queen, too.

Jexx, that poppet has been okay to make... but man, it's not an instant gratification project, that's for sure!
Calluna, thank you! I was very eager to try the fractal method, just to see how it worked up. I couldn't find any pictures either!

Yup, more from me. This one
was
an instant gratification project. I was mad at my man the other day and couldn't sleep and knew the only way for me to not dwell on his assholery was to make something else so I spent an hour (or more!) going through my yarn and my printed patterns and Ravelry and decided my left over yarn from
the shawl I made this summer
(that I wanted to post as my challenge entry that Belladune wouldn't let me enter because it wasn't dyed enough) would work for the
Tula's Mitts
pattern from Ravelry. And here they are! I should have made the XS/S instead of M/L but whatever. They don't fit my small hands very well. Anyone want them? Totally serious here!
Palm Side You can see where I started because the yarn was wrapped in a ball and the outside was in the sun a lot at the market this summer and Easter Egg dyes aren't really all that colorfast...
Back
Vaguely action shot
Really, who wants them? They are comfy but not as fitted as I would like them to be. Also, I don't really wear accessories so these will just sit around until I give them away.

Here's my Speckled Hen Earflap Hat.
From my Speckled Hen Yarn:
To this Earflap Hat:
I had about 10 yards less yarn than the pattern called for, so I had to leave off the single crochet edging the pattern calls for. I used every last inch of my yarn! I left the tails of my yarn on the tassles sort of uneven and wild-looking. I feel like either an elf or Ghenghis Khan when I wear it.
Here's another less flattering angle that shows the shape a little better:
And this is the pattern I used:

AHA! A boob hat!
I finally spun up some yarn that I could use for socks. Check this:
They're just yoga socks but they are so comfy! My husband doesn't understand them but I love them. I did the yoga sock pattern because I didn't think I would have enough for a real pair of socks but I do have enough left over and I bet if I wanted to I could add an afterthought heel and maybe even toes but I don't think I want to. They are alpaca/merino and super warm.
Here's the yarn I used. I didn't realize all the variances in the pink (light and dark) until I was working it up. Love it!

A boob hat -- you crack me up, Jexx! Now that's all I think of when I wear it. That, and just how friggity warm and comfy it is in the wintertime. :-)
Love your yoga socks!

Working with hand-spun yarn: Isn't it great? Bella, those mitts look so cozy, what fibers are in the batts?

I'm loving working with the handspun! It's weird to work with comercial yarn now!
The batts include, merino, romney, misc wool, bamboo, silk, and angelina, and maybe something else too. I just piled a bunch of fluff on the table and went to town. I thought I'd added more purple, but the pinks really took over...
