A couple of pair of mitts. The first with some fiber I purchased at Country Yarns in Snohomish, WA...

...which I spun into this mess of lovely...

...and then knit into these mitts which were gifted to a friend at work...

She was very happy.

Next up is some yarn I spun from a varied assortment of Phat Fiber samples. This was my VERY FIRST NAVAJO PLY. Yay! It was quite the bitch. It kept breaking and falling apart, but I actually liked how the yarn turned out....
...I made these weirdo mitts for myself...

...and I totally love them. Smiley

I am very blessed to be a Grandmother so I don't have to feel silly wearing my shawls!

Oh wait, I didn't feel silly wearing them when I wasn't a G'mother (the past 30 years!)

Show off your work, girl!  It is wearable Art!

If only I had a need for mitts!

Well, turns out I didn't dye enough of my fiber to go for the sheep to shawl challenge, so here's my latest:

Dye didn't take all too well:

crocheted, then woven:

And I was going to leave fringe but didn't leave it long enough so I just wove it up instead:

Jexican, I've never seen anything crocheted then woven, is there a trick to it?

I only recently found it myself in a book someone gave me with a bunch of other stuff. It's basically just crochet a blank fillet grid and then weave through it. I started a short discussion about it here a couple weeks ago. Someone even posted a link to hounds tooth pattern on Ravelry.
