We all love admiring each other's handspun.
And at times we start wondering - how is that yarn going to journey next?
Where is it going?
and where did it come from?
I thought I would put a thread here where we can share the spun yarn and then how you use it.
If you take pictures of the fiber before it spun, that'd be cool too!

Guidelines:
-The handspun yarn must be spun by you
-The finished product must also be made by you
-However the wool does not need to be dyed/carded/processed by you
(extra points though if you do!)
-If you've posted your yarn in fiber friday, you can post it here too along with the finished product.

Okay, I'll start!!

The middle handpainted roving in this picture (I dyed them last September) makes up one of the plies

I combined it with purchased pre-dyed superwash for the other ply.

The 2-ply yarn, 13 wpi

Now a Baby Gnome Hat

This is the newest little gnome hat.  I had a bit extra singles on a couple bobbins from other projects and thought what the heck, let's ply them together and see what I get.

One single was spun from the top hand dyed roving in this pic:

The other single was from this hand dyed roving:

Plyed together, they looked like this:

And the gnome hat I just finished with:

It will be for my new grandbaby (due in 2 weeks!!)

Puppy_girl - I remember seeing that red yarn and thinking how gorgeous it would look as a hat. And it does!

mullerslanefarm - thanks for sharing with us the fiber -> spun -> knit.
It's such an interesting process. Your gnome hats have just the perfect shape to them too.

Not done much with my stuff yet. But here's a few things!

Dyed by me with neon food coloring!

2-ply worsted/bulky. I think this was my third spindle yarn? Andean plied. HUGE BRACELET. I got all sweaty wearing it.

Don't wear this that much. It's too big. :\ Still like it though, it's pretty.

I spun this yarn on "Spin in Public Day" out on the main part of my college campus. Got a handful of people to come up and talk to me. Cheesy

Quick cabled cowl

I think this fiber was merino and mohair?

Gah can't get a good pic...This scarf has been a WIP since fall...I started it for Harry Potter Knit and Crochet House Cup on Ravelry but got bored and it's been sitting unceremoniously on the "bunk buddy" shelf-thing I have screwed on the side of my bed since then...eventually I'll finish it...I like it so far though.

this thread is for anything you have created with your handspun yarn! whether it be knitted (finger/loom/machine), crocheted, woven, tatted, sewn, glued... uhhh... we want to see them!

don't forget to post your creation in whatever other thread it belongs! (knitting, crochet, etc) that way we can spread our love for fiber arts, and show off our purrrdy projects. Wink
