I went through the archives but saw most of the posts were made from members that aren't active anymore (maybe?) and some of the links provided are dead.

Are there any local SnB in Knoxville?  Any group members out there?

I don't know of any local Knoxville SNB groups, but I do help head up the Knoxville Etsy Street Team.  It is a group for Knoxville crafters who sell their wares on etsy.  Email Knoxetsy@gmail.com if you are interested Smiley

Well I got off the phone with Loopville and they host knitting meets three times a week:
Tuesday:  6 - ? (they stay open late) but this night is geared more towards beginners
Wednesday:  1-3pm they have a "Wild Women's" afternoon, knitting probably at all levels
Thursday:  6 - ? same as Tuesday but with less emphasis on beginners

The Yarn Haven may have a few knitting nights but I'm not entirely sure.  They are having an all day knitathon March 17th to work on chemo caps, so that might be fun.  Oh looking at their website they also have a first Friday event:
"The FNKC meets on the 1st Friday evenings of each month from 6-9 pm.  The FNKC is not an exclusive club...everyone is welcome...and there's no fee to join in!  Just bring your knitting or crocheting project AND a snack to share.   Remember, this is a social time, not an instructional time."  So that's coming up next week, that could also be fun.

If anyone is interested in meeting with a smaller group, I'm trying to organize a small group on ravelry.  My user name there is the same as here, so shoot me a message on ravelry if you'd like to meet up.

I'd love to do a Knoxville meetup, though it's too hot for me to knit right now. I'd happily bring along some embroidery Smiley
