My shrine was inspired by two things after hearing this was a Valentine's type contest. 1. I don't support Valentine's Day. It's for people who are obligated to show they care when they should be doing it any way any day in the year. So I made sure not to go the traditional direction of Valentine's stuff. Plus this is much more me anyway. 2. My boyfriend and I were on a break. I was going through many things personally including what love means to me as an adult (I only have my high school sweet heart to compare this relationship to) and what I want out of a partnership.

But one thing is for certain. I cherish my man and no matter what happens he will have a place in my heart until the day my batteries run out.

Inside. I learned to Quill for this project! Cheesy The black paper is this really lush textured scrapbook paper. And yes, those are real bones.

One in progress pic. I tried to make this as anatomically correct as possible including glueing down each vein. Glue dries clear my butt.

I wish I could take better photos. I need a new camera.  Cry
BTW the title for this thread is Tagalog (Filipino) for "I will love you forever" Wink (I looked up the translation. I'm not anywhere near fluent)

This is wonderful! I'm not into the whole traditional Valentine thing either! I love it!

Thanks guys! Your compliments are much appreciated.

Pinkpug, I have to admit that I didn't just learn quilling on my own. I went to a craft show were an expert sat with me and showed me the very basics. Cheesy

This is great! The quilling really adds a lot to the work, and the sentiment is so sweet. Great job!

I really like this, raerae! The quilling adds such a nice touch to make the outside just stunning... I love that you were so detail-oriented on the veins, too.

lol I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed all the detail. :p I almost hated what I got myself into but when I realized I forgotten a vein it would not stop bothering me.

Quilling is pretty simple. You guys should try it out! Buying a kit isn't necessary but will make it very easy on a beginner.
