i found THE pattern i've been searching for to reproduce a dress i saw on marilyn monroe once, but unfortunately it's a vintage pattern. the pattern is the one in the lower right in this picture: http://selfishseamstress.files.wordpress.com/2009/11/p1060204.jpg
does anyone know where i could find a similar pattern that's still in print, or perhaps a pattern that would be easy to alter? mostly i'm not sure how to do the pleated top.

if you're curious, this is the dress i want to reproduce: http://s716.photobucket.com/albums/ww164/bodysnatcherrrr/etc/0_2737f_fb91cf94_XL.jpg

i'd really appreciate any ideas you guys have. thanks in advance!  Smiley

This one might be a good place to start:  http://www.simplicity.com/p-2043-missmiss-petite-special-occasion-dresses.aspx

This one would work if you expanded the inset waist: http://mccallpattern.mccall.com/m5806-products-9399.php?page_id=109
