I live in the south of England, and we hardly ever get snow, maybe one little fall per year that melts in a day. So, when we got snow that stayed for a week (!) recently, I got the urge to make a little creature that would enjoy the unusual conditions.

Meet the Adorable Snow Monster. He's distantly related to the Abominable Snowman, but look at him! He's far too cute, and small, to be abominable. He's also not a man, he's a monster, and proud of it. He's a very friendly monster though - his long furry arms are great for hugging, and he's very soft and gentle. He does like playing in the snow, and his six-fingered hands are great for throwing snowballs. He can't wait for the Winter Olympics!

He's made mostly with mohair which is crocheted then brushed with a wire pet slicker. I hope you all like him!
