Jane, it is really smooshy. I haven't stuck my face in it but I kept fondling it!! And did you dye your hair pink? It looks awesome! My husband keeps trying to convince me to do that in blue or purple. I've got a purple front section for now...
sarahj2001, get a toothbrush and kind of flick it across the bobbin. It should find that end and grab it! Good luck, it stinks when that happens!

I made two skeins of the yellow/green.  The first skein was knitted into long fingerless mitts for my son's girlfriend.

Here is the finished knitted gnome hat

And a special request crocheted cowl

I love the yarns this week!

Question, when you are including the fabric scraps, do you add them when you're spinning a single or when you're plying??

Try using a piece of real sticky tape to find the end if the toothbrush trick doesn't work out, sarahj.  Sometimes I can find an end with a toothbrush and sometimes with tape.

ok--now that I see your yarn knitted up so beautifully, I need more yarn!! Cheesy

I see the wonderful pink spinning wheel has been put to use...

and I love random, chunky yarns with bits and color and...let's just say I love homespun yarn!

Great job!

135 yards of laceweight merino! This was hand dyed by Carol of SSS years ago and Im finally getting around to spinning some of it up. Ive actually been spinning this for the same amount of time but I JUST took it off the bobbin!

170 yards of worsted weight dyed by me.

I also FINALLY have a dedicated dye pot thats big enough to dye larger lots of wool. My mother had an old deep frying pot she gave me but I never got around to cleaning it. Now it's SO much cleaner and, I think, actually usable!

My contribution this week, made for a swap:

Funked Up Shiz - dyed silk noil carded up with all the thread ends and fabric shreds that have accumulated by my serger.

There was a little bit of one of the singles left after plying, so I plied it back on itself and have been wearing it wrapped around my neck and wrist as jewelry.

You really can do anything you want with the fabric shreds.  Grin My favorite thing to do is to thread them on thread and ply them. I find I can get much more control and get cute little bow ties out of it.

vanillaxlight - your yarn is so freakin perfect!  Shocked
I'm especially amazed by the evenness of the worsted weight yarn.
