One good thing about being unemployed, I'm getting a lot of spinning done!  These are the yarns from this week.  They are each between 150-200 yards of 2 ply.  Some have already been knitted into projects.

This is now a baby gnome hat ...

Gorgeous yarn Smiley
My needles are especially wooed by that yellow/green yarn to the left.
If you've posted elsewhere on craftster the finished product of ay of your yarns, feel free to include the link in your post. I'd love to see your baby gnome hat.

I've spun up another Icarus yarn, but I'm still in the process of loading pictures.

The ONLY think I've worked on for the past month or so is my contribution for the Pluckyfluff Handspun Revolution exhibit. Ok I should say the only fibery thing I've worked on, we've been scrambling like mad to find a new place to live after someone practically walked up and bought our house! Then comes the packing, and we are trying hard to get moved in THIS WEEK! Did I mention I'm 31 weeks pregnant too?
This is actually the second incarnation of this fiber. I made a vegan version of this for the make yarn out of this swap. This is my wool version. In fact I have enough to make myself another skein to keep!

Memories: That Dress
Hand spun, wool, soy silk, ecospun, beads, thread, dress shreds
3 oz, aprox 96 yards

First time posting in one of those FF threads.  Wink

I didn't have much time this week, so it's only one skein.
18-20 wpi, and about 230m (~ 250 yards).

Wheelspun, dyed purple, plyed with golden yellow thread. I started knitting yesterday - it's going to be a light scarf for me. Found out the yellow is shimmering...  Cheesy

I washed a lot of wool this week, part of it is going to be spun during the weekend... Oh, and we had a lot of snow lately. The sheep don't seem to mind, though. Wink

That purple yarn has a regal feel to it, very pretty.

I've been spinning from some burgandy fiber I have.  I have 5 yards of it so I'm saving some for Jane's lessons and some I'm just spinning up.  The spindle full in the picture has already been loaded onto a TP tube and waiting patiently.

lamina your yarn is so feminine and squishy!
I want to grab your yarn when you're not looking and moosh my face into it  Cheesy
Lexi is going to love receiving it.
I also re-spun a yarn for the Handspun revolution....
but I'm not sure if I'll be able to send it away  Roll Eyes

Cheyenneswthrt07 I love the richness and depth of your yarn, and it's looking quite even.
Looking good!

yum guys, these fibers are delicious!!  I can't wait to get at my wheel again... to bad my mom moved ALL my fiber downstairs out of my bedroom closet at the request of my husband (and I still don't dare do stairs..).. yes I've got a functional closet that houses what should be in a bedroom/linen closet, but I can't get to my fiber!
MLF- those yarns look so perfect! lucky you to have the time to spin spin spin!
K_cat, those sheep do look happy, beautiful pic, and beautiful yarn!
Cheyenneswthrt07, your spindle is beautiful!  and that burgundy is fabulous!

My first fiber friday ever!   Grin  I've been looking for months now but I can finally post!  Thanks you all craftster fiber people...I've gotten into spinning!  Grin

This is what I've been working on the last 2 weeks..the purple one is my first attempt ever (without the teacher right there)...

I've been getting fiber in swaps now for awhile and I had a lot of smaller pieces people have given me to needle felt (but I havn't got around to that yet) so I decided to spin up all my little pieces to practice.  They I plyed it together and got this mess ...but I like it and its random-ness.  So these 2 are only 30 yards...any suggestions on what I could knit or crochet with that little bit?

Here's what's on my wheel now...just boring white (but I'll dye it later).  I got 3 HUGE bags of wool for free...so I've been slowly washing it and carding it and all that.  So...this is my first time spinning that...I guess I did alright carding it...since it seems to spin just like the others.  I gave up on spinning this yesterday though since it broke and then I could not find the end...any tips on finding the end?

I think my big problems are overspinning and I think I just spin too thin.  Any advice or comments for me would be real helpful.  Smiley
