My older daughter turned 7 yesterday, and I made this top for her as a present.  She's not really into peasant tops but likes the hippie look, so this pattern worked out well for her.  She picked the main fabric and I chose the contrast.  It was very easy to make, even though I'm not a fan of doing sleeves...but they def. get easier with practice.
