I decided to rebel against the store bought diaper bags.  Mostly because they don't have what I want, or colours I actually like together.  I was worried at first because this pattern doesn't have a zipper, but my sister (who I also made a bag for) assures me that zippers break and become a nuisance after a while.
This pattern was easy to follow, there are lots of pieces to cut out, so I had to keep myself focused and make sure I conserved as much fabric as possible.  I have a tendency to screw things up and then run out of fabric!  My only other suggestion would be, don't go too heavy with the fabric, it can make it more difficult when you have to turn things right-side out.  The only things I added to this pattern were, 2 extra side pockets on the inside of the bag, and the ribbon on the front, I decided I wanted it to run across both ways on the front
