I think they look fabulous in the pic! Are they stamped, woodburned?? Do they have a coat of finish on them to protect them from spills/stains?  These are questions I would ask or look for if I was buying them  Cheesy  They are very pretty!

"OH MY GOD! Pot Smoking!? You know what that leads to?! MUNCHIES! And you know what THAT means: TRANS-FAT. God knows, you don't want your kids getting into THAT."

They are stamped with staz on ink...brown, not sealed so the are absorbent. they could be sealed i suppose but that makes them not absorb the sweat from the glasses so i suppose i would need to know if that is more important than staining.
Thanks for you imput Midnight sun Smiley

I like them unsealed, natural.  If they pick up the rings of red wine or coffee it will only add more character?  My only concern would be how to clean them... warm water and vingear?  If so, we'd buy them!

I'd buy them for my mom. Esp. with the wine stamp on it.

I would say a touch of lemon oil on a rag or orange glow cleaner to clean but the wine will leave a nice stain...i did stain one intentionally and it is bareley noticable just adds depth. i will post my pics in  a few min of the ones i treated with lemon oil and u can see that they have more depth of color to the wood an wont show much staining.

Those are pretty neat. If you're ambitious you might scout around for wine shops to carry them.

Craftychef...sounds like a super idea. I have been thinking the past few weeks. I think they need to be sealed since they are wood. I think they would last better with a sealer on them . if they were to get wet they could warp.
ok the ones i treated with lemon oil are too dark now.
