I made this shirt out of a plain black bib front western shirt and a ball gown- both of which came from thrift stores. I paid a fair bit for the dress, I think it was $25 or so, but it was in good shape and so ridiculous I couldn't resist. I'm not worried about the cost though, cuz a western shirt this fabulous is priceless!

Here's the end result-






I attached parts of the dress, then finished it out with satin stitch detailing- little arrows to edge the bib, 3 stripes on the shoulders, and a stripe running down each side, all in a gold metallic thread.

I didn't take a picture of the plain black shirt, but here's the dress I started with-

That is super glam! My DH has asked me forever to make him a studded/sequined western shirt, but I don't ever want to send that much time with a bedazzler. I might have to steal this idea!
