Things I make from socks (pic hefty)

I've been posting these separately but why not just stick them all together in one thread since I'm making so many of them lately? They can all live together here in a big ole fun monkey pile!
Two little midnight marauders.
I left these up for adoption at a friend's shop, it was hard to part with either of them.
The triplets
my first sock monkey sale, the hats come off too! Middle monkey wears his heart on his bum
voodoo sock monkey with pins for a friend
He came with an eyeball pin cushion and organ pins
The most recent, DOTD monkey for ShannonMB in the sock monkey/critter swap.
Super sneaky surprise gift for another craftster mama's kiddo
Based on the characters from a show called Imagination Movers
My first one ever, I like him a lot.
Here's a punk rock sock made for a friend's little boy. The papa is a hardcore punk rocker so I thought this might suit
.
Here's one that I made for a friend's mama who works with veterans, she noticed the poppy eyes right away.
I think this might be all the pics I can reasonably jam into one thread. Might have to start another one, oh darn
.
ETA here's a link to the thread where the sockefant and sockbunny made of hand knit socks live...

Love that he is skinny and has ears that stick out.
Reminds me of my son. It is nicer than any I have seen for sale and that includes the Stuper expensive one I bought at a friend's store!

Thanks guys! I'm pretty pleased with my first attempt. I have a monkey of sock that's been hanging around with me for at least 10 years now and he's so skinny! I thought I made a mistake with mine 1st 'cause he's such a chunky monkey in comparison but after taking a few good looks at him I figured out that he's made with more than one pair of socks which accounts for his uber long limbs and tail. My first little dude's his hefty cousin.
Don't all sock monkey ears stick out? I thought they did... sure wouldn't be as cute if not! Mine are made with spiral ears like the one I've had for years and I think it looks so cute compared to the plain circular ones. I like 'em!
His hat is actually just a bit of fabric pulled out and stitched flat around his forehead. I made his head too big and his body was way too small in proportion so I had to figure out a solution and this was it. Plus I got to finally use a nifty little pom pom maker I bought at least 2 years ago and have never tried out. Works pretty good
.
Thanks again!

The punk rock sock monkey finally made it to his new home and apparently all the kids are fighting over him! I think I might have to make a couple more of them to promote familial harmony over there...
And my first ever sock monkey is living with his new family too and guess what? They have commisioned me to make 3 more, PAID!!! Woo hoo, now that's terrific! What is a reasonable price for them though, that's the big question of the day. I'm waffling over what I think they're worth. One side of me considers the hours they take to make while the other side of me says "Yes, but they are only toys. And made out of
socks
for goodness sake!" *groan*
