I made a couple of covers for the pad in my bassinet. It was really easy, AND it used up some of my stash fabric -- which is getting out of control! The process can also be used for changing pads or any other kind of pad that needs a slipcover.

Here's the pad by itself:

There's a tutorial for making the cover on my blog.

Not yet, Belladune ... I decided not to be induced, and now she's four days past the due date. My mom keeps telling me that all of us kids (five of us) were at least two weeks late -- one of my sisters was three weeks late! I hope she doesn't take that long -- I don't know if I can stand it -- but maybe now I'll have time to make the diaper bag and diapers ...

Congrats on your awaited arrival. Mom's always know best. These are brilliant and a great idea since the ones you can buy shrink causing your pad to warp and cost a small fortune. I wish I had thought of this when my son was small. Now start that diaper bag! Grin

Oh and I love the Monchichi picture! I finally found one (not vintage) and it is wearing the cutest outfit and carrying a basket of onions!

good for you waiting it out.. its hard, but my first boy was 12 days overdue, ended up induced anyway.  So you may have alot of time to make that diaper bag and diapers!
